Free Forest School Announcements: A topographical map has been purchased for Forest School. As soon as it arrives we will arrange a special day for Brother Jessie, the Brown's Church pastor to come teach us how to use it and compasses. This will be an event you don't want to miss so be sure to pay close attention to the chat for FFS!

Upcoming Spark Joy Events

Fundraiser: We are going to launch a Pasta fundraiser stay tuned for further details coming soon. Spark Joy is mostly funded through community donations. Fundraisers like these help keep our programming possible. We thank you in advance for your support.

Art class: is open to the public and will occur Tues Oct 7. Registration closes on Saturday Oct 4.

Book Club: Meets Oct 7 11:45AM at Jackson main library 433 E. Lafayette st. We have open slots for up to two more families. If interested reach out to SparkJoyHSC@gmail.com

Hideaway in History: Ms. Megan will be teaching history class class on October 14th at 12:30PM.

Donnel Century Farm Field Trip: 9AM October 23. Kids $10, adults $12. Reach out to SparkJoyHSC@gmail.com if interested in attending. This event is rain or shine. You must register and pay by Oct 17.

Planetarium Field Trip: October 31st @ 1 PM MD Anderson Planetarium at Lambuth Campus (do not be late they will lock the doors)! If the weather is nice feel free to pack a lunch and meet in the campus park behind the planetarium at 12:30PM.

Acton Children's Business Fair: Nov. 1st at the Jackson Farmer's Market. Please be sure to come out and support the hardworking Kid-entrepreneurs! So far we have 10 student run businesses planning to attend. If you are not signed up and wish to be, it isn't too late! Registration is free. I am asking that all booths consider bringing a canned food item for donation to RIFA https://www.childrensbusinessfair.org/jackson-tennessee

Business Fair Sponsors: We are seeking sponsors for the fair. If you have a business and would like to display a poster near the registration table and and be posted on our Facebook page and website, please let us know! Sponsorship is completely optional and not required to participate. Sponsorship fee is $25 payable by Venmo. We will email Venmo information to those seeking sponsorship. The Chemistry department at Union University is happy to invite homeschooling families to the annual Homeschool with the Chemistry department day on Oct 21st at 9:30 am. This event is completely free and open to all K-12 students. Siblings are welcome. sign-ups will close on 10/15 or when we reach seating capacity. Reach out to Union University for details
